Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Manager Outpatient Procedural Services for West Allis Memorial to lead GI services, Same Day Surgery, PAT, HBO, IV infusion and Pain Clinic teams. Overseeing staffing, budgeting, and clinical education, you will foster collaboration across physicians, nurses, and support staff.

The role requires RN licensure in the practice state and a Bachelor’s in Nursing, with at least 5 years in surgical services and 1 year supervisory experience; GI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in surgical services, including a minimum of 1 year of supervisory direct experience leading procedural teams in staff, budgets, and multiple human resources functions. - Prefer GI experience

Responsibilities

• Participates in departmental strategic planning and policy-making. Engages in decision-making through membership on hospital and departmental committees.
• Maintains an optimal level of productivity, while ensuring safe and efficient staffing using clinical judgment.
• Promotes communication among patients, families, hospital departments, and medical staff to optimize the interdependence of all team members.
• Coordinates the needs of physicians and acts as liaison between the medical staff and the nursing staff by serving as a problem solver and mediator.
• Evaluates the quality of patient care provided in the specialty area through collaboration with unit and organization resource people.
• Assures policies and procedures are in compliance with those of the Medical Center, the Nursing Department, and regulatory agencies.
• Serves as a clinical resource contact for patients, families, nursing staff, other health care members and external agencies.
• Ensures unit orientation programs meet learning needs of new employees and prepare staff to fulfill requirements of position.
