Job summary

Optum Colorado in Westminster is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team in the Denver area. You will provide primary care to adults and seniors, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and coordinate care within a physician-led practice that uses Epic EMR and supportive technology.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted APRN or PA license in Colorado.
• Prescribing authority and DEA registration.
• Experience in outpatient primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in outpatient setting
• Comfortable seeing patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base
• Average daily patient census: 18-20 patients
• Complete timely and thorough documentation
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up
• Coordinate care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice

Education
