Job summary

Optum Colorado in the Denver area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Evergreen clinic team. This outpatient role focuses on delivering high-quality primary care to adults with support from Epic EMR and a physician-led team.

You’ll manage patient care, document thoroughly, and coordinate with specialists to ensure comprehensive treatment plans. The ideal candidate has 1+ years NP/PA experience (preferably in primary care), holds Colorado APRN/PA licensure, and

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted APRN or PA license in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Prescribing authority, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• DEA license or ability, to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in outpatient setting.
• Comfortable seeing patients of all ages; primarily adults/senior base.
• Average daily patient census: 18-20 patients.
• Complete timely and thorough documentation.
• Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and procedures.
• Order lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan and provide advice on follow up.
• Responsible for the coordination of care with specialists and appropriate ancillary services.
• Maintain quality of care standards as defined by the practice.
