Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Practice Manager to lead operations at one or more clinics in the Chicago area. The role focuses on coordinating clinical and administrative staff, optimizing patient access, and ensuring compliance with ethics and corporate standards.

You will work with senior management to set performance goals and deliver financial reporting and resource planning essential to a high-performing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years health care experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience working in outpatient environments.
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the office's front-line non-exempt staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, dismissals, and performance appraisals.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources across hours of operation to maximize patient access, provider productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct supply purchasing via the Group's online ordering and shopping list system within budget.
• Report monthly productivity results to providers and staff.
• Ensure accuracy of data collection and data entry by site staff and facilitate data flow to the Central Office.
• Oversee cash management duties, including co-pays, patient balances and deposits to influence profitability.
• Participate in corporate committees and task forces.
• Provide financial analysis to support planning and cash flow management.
• Communicate budget and variance information to professional staff.
• Define performance goals with senior management and monitor progress with the team.
