Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee operations at one or more practice sites, supervising clinical and administrative staff and ensuring patient access and satisfaction. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years in healthcare, with strong organizational and leadership capabilities and excellent analytical skills.

Experience in outpatient clinics and a commitment to compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the office’s front-line non-exempt staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, dismissals, performance appraisals and employee relations.
• Schedule staff and allocate resources across hours to maximize patient access, provider productivity, staff productivity, cost-savings, and operational efficiencies.
• Conduct supply purchasing within specified budget.
• Report monthly productivity results to providers and staff.
• Ensure data accuracy by site staff and communicate with Central Office.
• Oversee cash management duties, including co-pays, patient balances, and deposits.
• Participate in corporate committees and task forces.
• Provide financial analysis to assist planning and cash flow management.
• Communicate budget and variance information to staff.
• Define performance goals and monitor progress with senior management.
• Identify priorities and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Work with leadership to provide training opportunities.
