Job summary

Documentation of progress and communication with the team are essential. The role requires an Associate’s degree in PTA and current PA or NJ PTA licensure, with possible continued education and adherence to hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in an accredited PTA program is required.
• Current PTA license in PA or NJ, based on work location, required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow the treatment plan established by the physical therapist and adjust as needed.
• Assist patients with exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and other interventions.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and precautions.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatment.
• Document outcomes, goals and discharge plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Adhere to ethical, legal and professional standards.
• Complete required trainings and documentation as directed.
