Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient settings. You will support the physical therapy team by implementing the treatment plan, guiding patients through exercises, and documenting progress under supervision.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate degree, a PA/NJ PTA license, and BLS certification. Experience in outpatient therapy is preferred. The role requests strong communication and compassionate care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in PA or NJ, based on work location.
• BLS certification required upon hire or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow the treatment plan established by the PT and adjust as needed.
• Assist patients with exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and other interventions.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises, precautions, and self-care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, pain level, and response to treatment.
• Record patients' outcomes, goals, and discharge plans.
• Communicate with the PT and other team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
