Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant, Outpatient, to work with patients improving mobility and function.

You will direct patients in executing a plan of care supervised by a Physical Therapist and document progress for the care team. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, assisting with exercises and modalities, educating patients and families, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license in PA or NJ, based on work location, required.
• BLS certification from AHA or equivalent within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow treatment plan established by physical therapist and adjust as needed.
• Assist patients with exercises, manual therapy, modalities and other interventions.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises, precautions and self-care.
