Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist for our Lynchburg, VA outpatient clinics. You will assess patients, develop individualized plans, and provide hands-on care per established guidelines, while coordinating with physicians, insurers, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (CAPTE-accredited) required.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience or interest in outpatient orthopedic care, including balance and vestibular rehabilitation.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
• Comfortable working independently with a diverse patient caseload.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
• Proficient with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review referrals and patient records to determine required therapy.
• Provide direct patient care per protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and patient/caregiver instructions.
• Oversee care performed by assistants and rehab technicians.
• Create written plans of care and comprehensive programs to meet goals.
• Implement treatment programs and essential therapies.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation including notes, reports, and discharge summaries.
