Responsibilities

• Evaluate the patient's functional status including review of medical history, diagnosis, and physician's prescription.
• Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions, progress the treatment plan, and teach patients/caregivers activities to reinforce therapeutic interventions.
• Document evaluations/re-evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary team members formally and informally.

Skills

Knowledge of physical therapy theories, practices, and standards.

Skill in oral and written communication.

Skill in organization.

Ability to set priorities and schedule patients efficiently.

Ability to evaluate patient function, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.

Ability to manage an average caseload of up to 3 patients per hour.

Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
