Job summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking an outpatient physical therapist for Forest Acres. This full-time, day-shift position focuses on restoring function after trauma or disease, using tests, measurements, exercises and modalities. A sign-on bonus is available.

Minimum qualifications include a BS or higher in Physical Therapy, graduation from an approved PT program, SC licensure and CPR certification. You will evaluate, treat, and educate patients while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must have a BS degree or higher in Physical Therapy and graduate from an approved PT program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in South Carolina; CPR certification required.
• No minimum years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient physical therapy to patients referred by physicians or providers.
• Evaluate patients using PT tests and measurements to guide treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
• Administer treatments to relieve pain, restore function and maintain performance.
• Document progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families for home exercise programs; supervise assistants as needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in meetings.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree or Higher in Physical Therapy

Graduate of PT program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent

Licensed in the State of South Carolina

CPR Certification
