Job summary

College Medical Center is seeking a full-time AMFT/ASW Therapist to join our growing Outpatient PHP program in Hawthorne, CA. The therapist will run groups and provide some case management services as part of a collaborative treatment team.

Requirements include licensure as MFT, Social Worker, or Psychologist (or intern/psych assistant numbers), with a preference for 2 years’ experience with seriously mentally ill or related populations. BLS and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed MFT, Social Worker or Psychologist or have an intern number registered with the Board of Behavioral Services or a Psych. Assistant number registered with the Board of Psychology.
• Prefer 2 years of clinical experience with seriously mentally ill, developmentally disabled, or substance abuse clients.
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, terminology, and medical record charting basics.
• Good group facilitation skills and experience.
• Must have a BLS for Healthcare provider card; de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Facilitates group treatment modalities; conducts initial assessments and develops treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Run groups and provide case management for the outpatient PHP program.
• Develop initial and master treatment plans with input from the treatment team.
• Enter progress notes within 24 hours and complete discharge summaries as prescribed.
