Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
• Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with adult mental health populations.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Understanding of crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and assist in treatment planning.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Facilitate structured therapeutic groups as part of daily program.
• Support clients in managing symptoms and life stressors.

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Program Therapist (AMFT) to provide comprehensive mental health services to adults experiencing behavioral health challenges within our PHP and IOP programs.

This role includes conducting diagnostic assessments, providing individual, family, and group therapy, and supporting clients throughout their treatment episode, including discharge planning and continuity of care. The ideal candidate is clinically strong, organized, and comfortable working in a structured, team-based outpatient environment under appropriate supervision.

This role will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, supporting diagnostic formulation, and assisting in treatment planning
• Providing individual, family, and group therapy services
• Facilitating structured therapeutic groups as part of the daily program schedule
• Supporting clients in managing symptoms, behavioral health challenges, and life stressors
• Assisting in discharge planning and coordination of aftercare resources

Additional responsibilities include:

• Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case reviews
• Collaborating with therapists, case managers, and medical staff to support continuity of care
• Ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
• Adhering to company policies, accreditation standards, and quality assurance guidelines
• Participating in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
• Receiving clinical supervision as required for AMFT licensure

Qualifications

Required:

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field
• Registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with adult mental health populations
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Understanding of crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and therapeutic modalities

Preferred:

• Experience in PHP, IOP, or structured outpatient settings
• Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT and DBT
