Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily operations, help establish workflows, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions and assist patients throughout the process.

The role emphasizes patient care within a retail-like environment, with opportunities to contribute to program development and service delivery in a growing outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding pharmacy and distribution of drugs.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and assists in compounding as appropriate.
• Monitors controlled substance inventories and maintains security and cost effectiveness.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in patient safety initiatives.
