Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is adding an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to its team.

The role supports pharmacists and technicians in daily operations, helping establish workflows, patient care experiences, and efficient dispensing processes in a growing outpatient program. You will work closely with pharmacists to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist patients throughout their care journey in a retail-like outpatient

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records.
• Uses pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders and perform calculations.
• Ensures appropriate supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances as required.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in safety initiatives to address potential hazards.
