Job summary

Regional One Health seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the Outpatient Pharmacy on a PRN basis in Memphis, TN. The candidate will provide technical pharmacy services and support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements include completion of a Pharmacy Technician program, Tennessee license, and at least 1 year of related experience. The role encompasses unit dose preparation, IV documentation, and patient-contact duties in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent education.
• Current certification as Pharmacy Technician and TN license to work in TN are required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or patient-care related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance and performs technical pharmacy services under supervision of a licensed pharmacist in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Prepares unit dose medications and fills unit dose carts; prepares, labels and documents IV products; uses aseptic techniques.
• Maintains records, delivers patient medication orders to units, and documents charges and patient profiles.
• Operates computerized data systems and order entry; handles inventory and stocking, including ensuring proper storage and stock rotation.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Interacts with patients and hospital staff to coordinate medication-related activities and provide patient care support.
