Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmaceutical care under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist at ANMC. The role includes accurate medication preparation, data entry, and adherence to regulatory standards in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED approved.
• Current State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician or Intern License.
• PTCB certification.
• Pharmacy Technician II–IV experience preferred.
• Ability to operate pharmaceutical automation and adhere to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Repackages and distributes prescriptions under licensed pharmacist oversight.
• Maintains advanced pharmaceutical automation and equipment.
• Triages high-volume communications from patients, providers, and clinics; escalates to pharmacist as needed.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR and ensure proper demographic data.
• Follow proper billing procedures.
• Enforce hazardous chemical and drug storage protocols per USP and department guidelines.
• Coordinate inventory control and stock rotations to prevent shortages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
