Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician license or intern license required.
• Experience as Pharmacy Technician II/III/IV preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repackages and distributes prescriptions under the general oversight of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintains advanced pharmaceutical automation and equipment.
• Triages high-volume communications from patients and clinics; escalates clinical inquiries to the pharmacist.
• Maintains strict HIPAA, DEA regulations and ambulatory practice standards.
• Accurately documents patient information and evaluates profiles in the EHR system.
• Follows proper billing procedures.
• Coordinates inventory control and ensures Drugs Supply and Chain act adherence.
