Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification and NC Board of Pharmacy registration required unless enrolled in PharmD program.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience and immunization certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and transcribes orders from prescribers under a pharmacist supervision.
• Assists with training of new employees in job-specific functions.
• Supports Medication Therapy Management and outreach programs.
• Selects and prepares medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepares medications for pick-up, delivery or shipping; manages returns and credits.
• Handles customer payments and cash with accurate records.
• Responds to customer requests that do not require a pharmacist’s judgment.
• Operates automated dispensing technology to supply medications per orders.
• Manages inventory and expiration dates; participates in process improvements.
