Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations, build workflows, and enhance patient care experiences within a growing program.

You will collaborate closely with pharmacists and technicians to prepare prescriptions, coordinate medication access, and assist patients throughout their care journey in a retail-like but patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice and drug distribution.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining records as required by regulation and policy.
• Utilizes pharmacy technology to prepare medication orders for dispensing and performs calculations.
• Attains supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist and knows when to escalate tasks.
• Fills and maintains medication supplies and monitors inventories.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
