Job summary

Intermountain Health is launching a new outpatient pharmacy at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We are seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to help establish workflows, assist pharmacists, and support patients throughout the dispensing process. You will work on 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays, in a retail-like clinical setting focused on patient care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician role requires formal certification or license as applicable.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and proper drug distribution.
• Ability to comply with policies, regulations, and 340B/charging practices.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in collecting patient information and maintaining records as required by policy.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing and performs necessary calculations.
• Ensures accuracy by supervision and verification by pharmacists.
• Maintains medication supplies and monitors controlled substances inventories.
• Communicates with caregivers and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
