Job summary

Yale University Health is seeking an experienced leader to oversee outpatient/retail pharmacy operations at our New Haven facility. You will supervise pharmacy technicians, implement strategic programs, and ensure high-quality patient care across daily workflows and service recovery initiatives.

You will coordinate with pharmacy technology teams to optimize applications, train staff on new systems, and address patient concerns in real time to maintain excellent service delivery.

Qualifications

• CT Pharmacist license required.
• Prior supervisory/manager experience in outpatient/retail pharmacy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team leadership.
• Ability to work independently in a project-based environment.
• Experience with pharmacy technology and enterprise applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day outpatient/retail pharmacy operations, including workflow, staffing, policies, patient experience, service delivery, quality assurance, and inventory.
• Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, coaching and conducting performance evaluations.
• Translate strategy into daily operations and optimize pharmacy applications, workflows, and procedures.
• Address patient and member concerns and resolve operational issues in real time.
• Serve as primary operational liaison for pharmacy technology and enterprise applications, providing on-site troubleshooting and support.
• Coordinate during system outages, upgrades, and organization-wide initiatives to maintain safe operations.
• Develop and deliver staff training on new systems and processes.
