Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant pharmacy experience; leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• CT Pharmacist Licensure required; Immunization Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outpatient pharmacy operations including inventory, staffing, scheduling, compliance, marketing, billing, and budgeting with emphasis on customer service.
• Supervise staff reporting to outpatient pharmacy services; support performance management and staff development.
• Ensure prescription clinical continuity and capture; accountable for improving outcomes against department goals.
• Monitor monthly P&L and contribute to initiatives to increase revenues and margins.
• Lead process improvements and design new workflows to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate recruitment, orientation, and ongoing training for professional and technical staff under oversight.
• Maintain strong interdepartmental communication and participate in medication management committees.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulatory bodies (DPH, ASHP, ISMP, CMS, DEA) and hospital policies.
• Regular audits and rounds to identify and resolve policy deviations; report project statuses to leadership.
• Foster open communication and teamwork across disciplines; support patient-centered care initiatives.
