Job summary

Desert Sage Health Centers seeks a Pharmacist to provide safe, patient-centered pharmacy services in our in-house outpatient pharmacy. You will verify, dispense, and counsel on medications while ensuring safety and access for patients.

You will collaborate with clinicians and staff to optimize therapy and outcomes. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work with insurance plans to resolve barriers.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Current Idaho pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain before duties begin.
• Knowledge of community/retail/outpatient pharmacy practice and safety.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, prepare, and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
• Assess therapy safety and appropriateness and collaborate with prescribers.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Resolve prescription, coverage, and prior authorization barriers with plans and providers.
• Support 340B workflows in accordance with policies.
