Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, including pediatric cases, and to develop personalized care plans. The role requires leadership of therapy staff, collaboration with physicians, and community outreach to grow referrals.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based treatments, monitoring progress, and adjusting plans to meet patient needs while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Licensure as Physical Therapist (PT) or PT-TEMP.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care.
• Designs and implements treatment plans using standards and guidelines.
• Oversees PT assistants and rehabilitation aides.
• Participates in marketing to physicians to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Maintains productivity standards and manages patient scheduling.

Job Description

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Up to $3000 Relocation Bonus for Eligible Applicants
• Schedule: Monday - Friday Choice of either four Ten hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts
• Location: Advent Health Sports Med and Rehab, 1724 N. Mills Ave, Orlando, FL32803
• The anticipated minimum pay rate for this position is $35/hour.
• Determines physical therapy diagnosis and establishes a plan of care, making recommendations for referral if treatment is needed outside the scope of physical therapist practice.
• Designs and implements treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards, recommended techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
• Participates in marketing to physicians and physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards.
• Participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers and programs as approved and observed by the manager or director.
• Practices principles of professional development by maintaining clinical competencies, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and serving as a clinical instructor.
• Oversees the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
• Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required
• Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluates muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems.
• Monitors patient response and progress to treatment, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
