Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to develop and manage outpatient orthopedic treatment plans that relieve pain, restore function, and promote overall health. This role serves as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and students, while delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include designing and adjusting plans of care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with BLS within 30 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Applies safe body mechanics to protect patients and staff.
• Designs a plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Adapts care based on patient response and evidence.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers and other health professionals.
• Evaluates findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs exams using reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and manages support staff accordingly.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team.
• Documents care per department standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards.
• Serves as clinical instructor when assigned.
• Participates in team and department activities and meetings.
• Performs reporting and other duties as assigned.
