Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for outpatient orthopedic care in Chicago. You will evaluate patients, select treatment modalities, and develop personalized therapy plans to improve function and reduce pain.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with physicians, and guiding patients and families through exercise programs. This role requires Doctoral PT, Illinois licensure, CPR certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients' physical and functional status including strength, motor function, reflexes and ADLs.
• Select and administer PT modalities such as heat, ultrasound, massage and paraffin.
• Establish therapy goals and develop a treatment plan with exercises and gait training.
• Discharge planning and in-home program development when appropriate.
• Document evaluations and progress for physicians and insurers; participate in education programs.
