Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in the Texas Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Tech to help prepare the operating room and surgical team for a variety of procedures. You will set up equipment and instruments, assist the team, and ensure a sterile environment to support patient healing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED upon hire
• Minimum 3 years
• Certified Surgical Technologist upon hire
• Technologist in Surgery-Certified upon hire
• Certified First Assistant - CST upon hire
• Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and surgical equipment for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team and maintain sterile environment.
• Communicate with Biomedical Services on equipment status and maintenance.
• Educate staff on care of instrumentation and equipment.
