Job summary

Mercy South is seeking an Outpatient Specialty RN for the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO. This full-time, daytime position supports Medical Oncology & Hematology with patient assessments, education, and coordinated care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting physicians, documenting care, and maintaining safety. RN license and CPR within 90 days are required; oncology exposure is welcome, with growth opportunities in a specialty team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, review histories, obtain vitals, assess conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Coordinate care and follow-up with the care team and family.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record.
