Job summary

Mercy South is seeking an Outpatient Oncology & Hematology RN to join our David M. Sindelar Cancer Center team in St. Louis, MO. The RN will support patients through assessments, education, follow-up, and care coordination in an outpatient setting.

You’ll collaborate with physicians and the care team, perform exams, prepare for procedures, and document care in the EHR. Oncology experience is welcomed, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other care team members.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record.
• Maintain medication handling and safety practices.
• Support infection prevention and keep exam rooms well-stocked.
