Mercy South is seeking an Outpatient Specialty RN for the Oncology & Hematology team at the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis (MO).

The role supports physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. You will assess, educate, and coordinate care across the patient journey. The position is full-time, day shift, with responsibilities across exams, treatments, and follow-up, leveraging clinical skills and Electronic Health

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous experience is not required.

Responsabilités

• Room patients, review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and assess patient conditions.
• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist physicians with patient care and specialty procedures.
• Provide patient education and help patients understand their plan of care.
• Respond to patient questions, phone calls, test results, and follow-up needs.
• Coordinate care and collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team.
• Assist with laboratory, imaging, and referral needs.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.
• Maintain proper medication handling and safety practices.
• Support infection prevention and maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms.
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations within the clinic.
