UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is hiring a Regular Full-Time OP Nurse Coordinator I (RN) to support the UPMC Passavant outpatient Medical Oncology/Infusion office in McCandless/Pittsburgh, PA. The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a daylight schedule Monday through Friday, focusing on coordinating nursing care in the infusion suite.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates accountability for professional development that improves the quality of professional practice and the quality of patient care.
• Participates in practice-based governance and supports changes to improve quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Formulates goals and a plan of care for patients that involves the patient as partner and coordinates care with physicians.
• Assists physician with all aspects of patient care including assessment, evaluation and education.
• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with colleagues and management to improve patient safety and satisfaction.
• Acts as a primary nursing resource to patient caseload and facilitates services outside the facility as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement efforts and supports patient advocacy within the practice.
• Demonstrates leadership with new nursing staff and oversees the care environment as needed.
