Job Overview – Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW)

Compensation: $27/hour

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW) in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting outpatient therapy services within a structured clinical setting. This role delivers individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, while maintaining compliant clinical documentation. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support adults and/or adolescents in achieving meaningful therapeutic outcomes within an outpatient mental health program.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and family outpatient therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with licensing and insurance requirements.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
• Coordinate care with clinical teams, providers, and support services to ensure continuity of care.
• Support client engagement and advocate for participation in the treatment and recovery process.

Qualifications:

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
• Minimum of 2 years of mental health therapy experience required, with CBT experience preferred.
• Prior experience in an outpatient mental health setting strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of mental health systems, community-based supports, and treatment planning frameworks.
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a client-centered, organized approach to care delivery.
