Job summary

The Providence Center is seeking a Clinical Therapist to provide outpatient psychotherapy, complete intake assessments, and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment.

You will conduct screenings, psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, and provide individual, group, and family therapy with thorough documentation.

Rhode Island licensure is required or eligible; a Master's degree in a related field is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Required in a related field such as Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
• Rhode Island licensure required: LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMHC-A, LMFT, or LMFT-A; certification accepted in lieu of licensure.
• LICSW/LMHC preferred.
• Experience providing substance abuse treatment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, orientation, crisis intervention, counseling, case management, and treatment planning for clients.
• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments of assigned consumers.
• Provide individual, group, and family mental health and/or substance abuse therapy.
• Develop and present clinical formulations and determine appropriate levels of care.
• Collaborate with other providers and agencies in the network of care.
• Maintain confidential records in accordance with policy.
• Attend trainings and maintain licensure requirements.
