Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in outpatient setting, including E & M, CPT, ICD codes.
• Experience with multiple medical specialties (e.g., Family Practice, Pediatrics).
• Coding experience must not be limited to making codes conform to specific payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Codes patient data utilizing EPIC systems to ensure optimal reimbursement.
• Verifies accuracy of patient information for proper processing.
• Performs other related duties to support department goals.
• Stays updated on changes in coding nomenclatures and guidelines.

Working knowledge of coding/abstraction, medical terminology
