Qualifications

• CCS, CPC, COC, or RHIT certifications required or preferred.
• 2+ years outpatient coding experience using ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS.
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and assign codes for outpatient services using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
• Abstract patient information into EMR systems with accuracy.
• Apply CMS and payer guidelines for compliant reimbursement.
• Resolve claim edits and assist with denial management.
• Collaborate with providers and billing staff to improve documentation quality.
