Job summary

Heritage Health - Idaho is seeking a full-time Coder for our Pediatrics office. This onsite role emphasizes collaboration, real-time problem solving, and team connection.

You will review and assign accurate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services performed by physicians and other providers. The position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle, with requirements including CPC credential and an associates degree in medical coding.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; associates degree in medical coding preferred.
• CPC credential is required; AAPC preferred.
• One-year FQHC medical billing/coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and coding diagnoses, evaluations and management, and procedures for accuracy.
• Reviewing electronic medical records initiated by a health care provider.
• Review and verify components of medical records for complete/accurate documentation.
• Code using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and other coding systems as required.
• Research and resolve coding queries with clinical staff.
• Communicate findings and updates to leadership in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and stay current with coding regulations.
• Contribute to Heritage Health PCMH Care Team.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
