Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in our outpatient clinic in Richmond, KY. The role includes taking vital signs, documenting history and medications, and supporting patient flow.

You will manage EPIC records, schedule appointments, and handle prior authorizations to keep clinics running smoothly. With on-site work requirements and a potential sign-on bonus for eligible hires, the MA will also perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections after clinical

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical Assistant training program or 1 year direct patient care in a clinical setting.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and patient history; reconcile medications.
• Support patient flow and scheduling; manage EPIC records.
• Process medication requests and prior authorizations; coordinate tests and procedures.
• May perform EKGs, lab tests, injections, and phlebotomy after competency.
• Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills to support providers.
