Job summary

Baptist Health BHMG Family Medicine in Corbin, KY is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic. The role includes taking vital signs, collecting history, reconciling medications, and supporting clinic operations on-site.

You will manage the EPIC EMR, schedule appointments, process medication requests, and coordinate tests and prior authorizations. After competency is demonstrated, duties may include EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on MA experience in a clinical setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; MA training program graduate acceptable.
• Complete MA orientation and clinical competency assessment.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history and medications.
• Manage EPIC EMR and coordinate test orders and results.
• Schedule appointments and process medication requests; handle prior authorizations.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections or vaccines as competency allows.
• Support providers with patient flow and on-site care.
