Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for an outpatient clinic in Kentucky. You will provide direct patient care, take vital signs, reconcile medications, and support patient flow. You may perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and other procedures as competency is demonstrated.

Responsibilities include managing EPIC EMR, scheduling appointments, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests. Strong communication and organization are essential for efficient patient care on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year MA experience in a medical office with direct patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program with hands-on patient care.
• Clinical competency assessment and MA orientation required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and coordinate care with providers.
• Schedule appointments and process medication requests.
• Assist with prior authorizations and test coordination.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections as competency permits.
