Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program or a minimum of one year of direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting.
• Clinical competency assessment during orientation; MA Trainee Program for those who do not meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Reconcile medications and assist with clinic procedures (EKGs, phlebotomy, injections).
• Support patient flow and coordinate tests/procedures.
• Manage EPIC and scheduling tasks; process medication requests and prior authorizations.
