Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant Certified to join our outpatient care team. Under the direction of a Provider, you will support clinical and administrative tasks to keep clinics running smoothly and safely.

Your duties include data collection, preparation for procedures, EMR documentation, basic immunizations under supervision, appointment support, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms. No prior MA experience required; CMA/RMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of medical assistant program preferred.
• No prior Medical Assistant experience required.
• Up to 1 year of clinical/ambulatory setting preferred.
• Clinical orientation and competency evaluation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting patient data and documenting it under supervision.
• Prepare patients and standard equipment for routine clinical procedures.
• Support preventive care activities and reminders for health maintenance.
• Identify and report abnormal findings to the provider or supervisor.
• Perform routine clinical procedures after training and competency.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and safe environment.
• Assist with specimen collection and lab routing per procedures.
• Document clinical information in EMR under supervision.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Manage appointment scheduling and basic check-in/out tasks.
