Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant Certified to deliver team-based patient care under the supervision of a Provider in an outpatient clinic. You will support daily patient care activities, assist with data collection, specimens, immunizations, and entry of information into the EMR, while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

The role emphasizes basic administrative tasks such as scheduling, check-in/out, and care coordination, with training provided for procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient data under supervision.
• Prepare patients and standard equipment for routine clinical procedures.
• Assist with preventive care activities and screenings.
• Identify and report abnormal findings to the provider.
• Follow clinical protocols based on visit reason.
• Perform routine clinical procedures after training.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and a safe environment.
• Assist with specimen collection and labeling.
• Document clinical information in the EMR under supervision.
• Administer medications under provider supervision.
