Job summary

Cone Health in Greensboro, NC seeks a Medical Assistant Certified to deliver team-based patient care under Provider supervision in an outpatient setting. You will perform routine clinical and administrative tasks to support providers, maintain safe operations, and assist with daily patient care activities.

Under supervision, you will collect basic patient data, prepare rooms and equipment, support screenings, document in EMR, and assist with immunizations and other basic treatments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• Certification as CMA or RMA (or equivalent) is required or preferred per policy.
• CPR certification (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine clinical procedures under supervision.
• Record patient data and maintain EMR accuracy.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision.
• Schedule appointments and manage basic patient check-in/out.
• Support pre-certification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
