Job summary

Comprehensive Treatment Centers in Fayetteville, NC, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support our outpatient MAT program. You will provide individual and group counseling, document treatment plans, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have CADC/LCSW/LCMHC or equivalent, MAT familiarity, and experience with CBT/MI techniques. Full-time hours include 5:00 AM–1:30 PM (Mon–Fri) and 6:00 AM–8:30 AM (Sat).

Qualifications

• Must have high-quality counseling experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• MAT familiarity including methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT, MI, relapse prevention.
• Experience documenting clinical notes, plans, and progress per state/federal guidelines.
• Collaborates with medical staff, case managers, and peer support specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care is timely and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals to other programs.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
