Comprehensive Treatment Centers in Annandale, VA seeks a Substance Use Counselor for ourOutpatient MAT program. You will provide high-quality individual and group counseling to opioid use disorder patients, document care, and develop treatment plans.

The role requires CSAC-R/CSAC eligibility and relevant education in counseling or health services, with MAT familiarity and strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Eligible for HRSA student loan forgiveness at certain sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social, or health services field with 2+ years in counseling or social services.
• Master's degree in counseling, social, or health services field with 1 year of professional work experience.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred (outpatient, residential, or correctional).
• Familiarity with MAT including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on recovery.
• Knowledge of CBT, MI, and relapse prevention techniques.

Responsabilités

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and referrals to other programs.
• Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention when required.
• Perform case management to ensure quality care.
• Act as liaison between referrals and patients.
