Job summary

Las Vegas Comprehensive Treatment Center in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling. The role requires CADC/LADC or LCPC/LPC/LCSW/LMFT credentials and a background in MAT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social or health services field is required; accreditation confirmed.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Familiarity with MAT and related medications (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone).
• Experience with CBT, MI, and relapse prevention approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality guidance in individual and group counseling sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery progress.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely documentation of care, treatment, and incidents.
• Develop and monitor individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments as part of care.
• Evaluate needs and arrange referrals to other programs when needed.
• Assist with aftercare planning and crisis intervention as required.
• Provide case management and liaison services with referral sources.
