Job summary

Lynnwood Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), part of Acadia Healthcare, seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder through individual and group counseling. Located in Lynnwood, WA, this role offers early morning hours and growth within a leading MAT provider.

You will deliver compassionate care, document progress, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve recovery. WA SUDP or SUDPT certification is required.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Prefer Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social or health services field.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) such as methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone.
• Experience conducting individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI) and relapse prevention.
• Documentation experience with clinical notes and treatment plans.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate assigned group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure all documentation regarding patient care is timely and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and refer to other programs as needed.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Perform case management to ensure quality care.
