Spokane Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is part of Acadia Healthcare’s network, providing medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. The Substance Use Counselor will deliver high-quality care through individual and group counseling, build treatment plans, and coordinate aftercare and referrals within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires WA SUDP or SUDPT certification with experience in addiction recovery.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in social or health services preferred.
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings.
• Familiarity with MAT including methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone.
• Experience with individual and group counseling.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, relapse prevention).
• Documentation experience per state and federal guidelines.
• Familiarity with state regulatory standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of care and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate needs and referrals to other programs if needed.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform case management for individualized care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
