Job summary

Dunmore Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) in Dunmore, PA, is seeking a Substance Use Counselor for its outpatient MAT opioid treatment program. The counselor will provide compassionate care through individual and group counseling, with focus on recovery for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting treatment, assessments, case management, and coordination with referrals. Several shifts available with no weekends; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 4 years of clinical experience, or
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of clinical experience, or
• Master's degree with 1 year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate guidance in individual and group counseling.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents is timely and clear.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals as needed.
• May plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Provide case management duties ensuring quality care.
• Act as liaison between referral sources and patients.
